Lately, I’ve noticed something fascinating: my most popular blog posts are the ones where I share my personal journey, not the ones where I analyze ideas.
For the longest time, I assumed my personal experiences weren’t that important—that people would rather hear general insights on personal development. But maybe that was wrong. Perhaps people aren’t searching for “how to grow”—they just want to be happy and hear how others have navigated the ups and downs of life.
But is happiness separate from personal development? Or is the act of “becoming” the key to happiness? These are things that I want to explore more with my readers as I explore them with myself.
Maybe my point of view helped draw you into this blog. Maybe you have related to, or aspired to relate to, a part of this journey. If so, rest assured, that there are many chapters that I’ve yet to tell, from figuring out how to mother a human being, to navigating a couple of dark nights of the soul, to continuing my journey as THE Digital Marketing Girl (take that OSU…that’s for my Ohio friends) —- the well of stories has not run dry. But sometimes I just don’t know where to start. If you’re new, give me a chance to resonate with you.
If you can relate to my journey, if you want me to expound upon a topic I’ve written about before, or if you want to surprise me with something new, email me at ashley@exploretheyouniverse.com or comment below. I have a small, but mighty, core group of readers and I want this community to continue to grow with your help.
